Nottinghamshire Based Telemarketing and Courier Service have a busy year
As well as carrying out telemarketing for businesses around the Nottingham area and couriering packages and components UK wide the MDS Services team have had a busy year assisting with various charities and events.
June brought the Heroes Festival at the Newark showground. Birds on Bikes of which mal is a member, used this as the official launch of their charity motorcycle ride. Mal was in attendance to help out and a good time was had by all trying to kick-start the fund raising for Help for Heroes. Thanks go out to all those that attended and supported Birds on Bikes, especially Chris Walker from British Super Bikes, Tom Young from British Superstocks, veteran racers Alan and Keith Brown, and our local MP Patrick Mercer.
Women in Newark took part in the Newark Carnival this year, and as a member Mal was happy to assist with the float and share the Champagne that was on offer prior to the procession. Dave was on hand to drive and assist with the construction of the float, and had the added bonus of being allowed to drive a bed and four ladies around Newark in glorious sunshine!
At the Newark Half Marathon it was Dave's turn again. This time he donated his time to act as the lead motorcyclist for the events wheelchair race. The courier experience paid off and he delivered his consignment safely to the finish line. He must be the only person to start and finish at the front of the half marathon! Well done to Jason who kept up with Dave and used the event to practice for the London marathon – we wish him all the best. Thanks also go to Jayne Mason of Sunpro for organising the graphics for our Courier Motorcycle in time for the event.
The first weekend in September will see the annual Birds on Bikes charity motorcycle ride. Dave and Mal will once again be taking part and giving their time to assist with the marshalling of the event. Mal is again trying to raise sponsorship to assist the Birds to hit the goal of £20,000 for this years charity Help for Heroes. Dave will be happy to help shepherd 50 lady motorcyclist all the way to Haverfordwest in South Wales – it’s a tough job but someone has got to do it!
